Matthew issues warning to Kell

MATTHEW Hatton has warned Sheffield puncher Kell Brook that becoming a father for the first time will hurt his quest to win the battle of Britain’s best welterweights.

Both fighters are due to have baby girls in the build-up to their bout on March 17 at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield - with Brook’s partner Lindsey due in mid February and Hatton’s partner Jenna early March.

Hatton has already experienced training for a fight while becoming a father but claims it will be a difficult balancing act for Brook, aged 25.

“It [parenthood] is absolutely amazing but it’s a real shock and takes some getting used to,” said Hatton.
