THE Monaco Grand Prix is widely considered to be one of the most exciting and unpredictable races in the Formula One calendar.
It is for that reason Marussia Virgin Racing team principal John Booth is refusing to rule out the possibility of a shock result.
A drivers skill and concentration are seriously tested on the narrow streets of the Monte Carlo track, with the tiniest mistakes punished. It is a major challenge for the drivers and teams but it does present an opportunity for some midfield runners to score an upset.
Booth hopes the unpredictable nature of the Monaco GP can work in Virgin’s favour.
“Anything can happen in Monaco so we need to make sure that we are in the mix if something does happen,” he told The Star. “We want to be there to capitalise if something unusual does happen.”
