JONATHAN Marray is relishing the challenge of performing on home soil after the Sheffield-based player and fellow Wimbledon doubles champion Frederik Nielsen qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
The British-Danish duo are set to compete at the showpiece tournament, which is to be staged at The O2 in London between November 5 and 12. The pair’s Grand Slam triumph sealed a top 20 finish in the doubles team race to London.
Marray, who still trains at Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club, said: “To be able to cap off the season by competing against the world’s best doubles teams in front of a home crowd will be incredible. We had a great run at Wimbledon so hopefully we can reproduce some of that form in London.”
