Latest: Spireites held as Millers run riot

It was a great night for Rotherham United this evening as they hit four to win at Luton Town.

While the Spireites took a lead at Aldershot only to be pegged back.

Rotherham United, the only team to beat the Spireites in the 10-game sequence, had been defeated, ironically, by Aldershot on March 17, but has been unbeaten since then as they prepared to face Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

Luton are bottom of League 2 although they had picked up maximum points from their last three games.

And they put Andy Warrington under some early pressure this evening.

Yet it was Reuben Reid who put the visitors in charge after 11 minutes. It was the club top scorer's 17th of the campaign.

Drew Broughton made it 2-0 although Town dragged themselves back into the game through Chris Martin. It stayed 1-2 at half time.

Danny Harrison strengthened Millers' hand at 3-1 on 53 minutes.

And it was game-on with 20 minutes left when Asa Hall slotted in Luton's second.

But Mark Hudson made it 4-2 to Mark Robins's side the win with three minutes left.

Town: Luton: Brill, Keane, Pilkington, Bower, Emanuel, Nicholls, Livermore, Hall, Martin, Craddock, Gallen.

Subs: Davis, Henderson, Parkin, Asafu-Adjaye, Jarvis.

Millers: Andy Warrington, Dale Tonge, Danny Harrison, Ian Sharps, Nick Fenton, Mark Birchill, Marc Joseph, Drewe Broughton, Reuben Reid, Pablo Mills, Jason Taylor.

Subs: Mark Hudson, Ryan Taylor, Andy Nicholas, Jamie Clarke, Steven Cann.

Chesterfield went into tonight's game at Aldershot bristling with confidence after just one loss in 10 games.

The Derbyshire team started the evening two points outside the Play Off spot in ninth position.

While Aldershot had lost their last two and were floundering in 14th spot.

And after just seven minutes they fell victim to yet another Jack Lester goal...his 20th of the season. Aldershot couldn't a find a way back with some sterile attacking in the first half.

Jake Robinson got them back on track though, pinning the Spireites back at 1-1 at 52 minutes.

There were chances at either end, but that's how it remained at the final whistle.

Shots: Aldershot: Jaimez-Ruiz, Soares, Blackburn, Charles, Straker, Hudson, Chalmers, Davies, Cochrane, Grant, Robinson.

Subs: Morgan, Hylton, Donnelly, Newman, Sandell.

Chesterfield Team: Tommy Lee, Jared Wilson, Danny Hall, Aaron Downes, Gregor Robertson, Jamie Lowry, Derek Niven, Lewis Montrose, Peter Till, Jack Lester, Drew Talbot.

Subs: Scott Boden, Dan Gray, Lloyd Kerry, Darren Currie, Kevin Austin.
