Kevin Blackwell worries me
This guy worries me.
I dont doubt McCabe is a switched on guy with lots of good ideas, but cant he see what most of us see in relation to Blackwell.
First of all the smoke screen "I may resign comment" after the play off.
Then the continual impression of United always being taken by surprise by events and just generally being underprepared. Never a "plan B " or any sign of planning ahead.
We sell players only to find a little further down the road we have a scenario which means we should have kept them (ie Jonathan Stead last season when we sold Beattie).
Just like last season we arrive at opening day of the new season and discover we arent 100%, this time we've "no forwards" (didnt he see that one a month ago ? )
When we lose to Port vale he says 5 of the players arent upto it - well again is he only just seeing that and didnt he bring most of them in ?
He doesnt seem to have a clue tactically against any of the top teams - I wonder what his record his against the top 6 ?
I have to laugh when he talks about watford being "direct !" ( pot , kettle ! )
With the exception of Evans his signings are less than impressive, we've bought no one of quality, I dont know any united fans who thinks we have a team as good as last year and arguably this is a tougher division now.
It really concerns me, I can easily imagine United slipping towards being another Norwich in another year or two ,rather than being up near the top - it also concerns me that McCabe doesnt seem to hear the alarm bells ringing ?
