Jeff Legue hit an overtime winner as Sheffield Steelers beat Cardiff Devils 3-2 in the Elite League tonight.

The Welsh side led 2-0 after the first period through Mark Richardson and Sam Smith, but Colt King’s double levelled the scores before Legue had the final word.

It means joint second Sheffield are now seven points behind leaders Belfast Giants - with five games in hand.

Elsewhere, Toms Hartmanis scored twice as bottom-of-the-table Fife Flyers beat fellow Scots Braehead Clan 4-3.
