Sheffield Steeldogs are raising a glass to their new sponsors - Bradfield Brewery!
The farm-based family-run business has been linked with Steelers over the years and have now agreed a deal with the English Premier League club.
John Gill, who owns the brewery, said of this new partnership: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Steeldogs and looking forward to a great season. We have been avid fans of ice hockey for a number of years and when the opportunity arose to sponsor the Steeldogs, we didn’t hesitate to jump on board.”
He added: “We are proud to sponsor (player coach) Andre Payette and wish all the best to the team for the coming season.”
Payette said: “It is great to have the support of another locally-based quality business such as Bradfield Brewery. We look forward to seeing them at our games where we can hopefully match the quality of their product with our performance on the ice”.
Owner Shane Smith added: “It is great to see top flight hockey fans and sponsors believing in what we are trying to achieve here at iceSheffield with the Steeldogs. Without people believing in development as well as top flight it is hard to achieve great things. With the help from excellent companies like Bradfield Brewery it will allow us to compete in the EPL with a ‘Made in Sheffield Team’.”
