Nottingham Panthers have booked their place in the Elite League play-off semi-finals against Sheffield Steelers with a 3-0 win over Braehead Clan.
The Panthers held a 5-4 lead from the first leg and two goals from David Beauregard helped seal their progression to meet their deadly rivals pn home ice.
League champions the Steelers also advanced despite losing their second leg 4-2 to Dundee Stars.
Sheffield had hammered Dundee 6-1 in Tuesday’s first leg and goals from Mark Nebus (two), John Dolan and Sam McCluskey could not help the Stars prevent an 8-5 aggregate defeat.
Rob Dowd and an empty netter from Ashley Tait kept Steelers in it - but it was too close for comfort for Ben Simon.
The Cardiff Devils scraped a 2-1 win in the first leg of their clash with the Hull Stingrays with Brad Voth getting the winner on the night, while the Coventry Blaze and the Belfast Giants played out a 2-2 draw in their first leg.
