Steelers plunder points at Hull

SHEFFIELD Steelers got their Christmas programme off to a good start with a 4-2 win at Hull Stingrays.

Defencemen Matt Stephenson and Drew Fata put them in the driving seat in the openng 10 minutes, Jeff Legue getting another.

Dominic Osman’s reply saw Sheffield protecting a 3-1 first session lead.

Osman grabbed a second at 32.47 but old warhorse Ashley Tait settled the penalty-strewn game at 47;55.
