Sheffield Steeldogs are hoping to make the most of being the only ice hockey team playing in the city this weekend.

With Steelers in Scotland, the EPL side want to attract fans to iceSheffield as they host Peterborough Phantoms tomorrow (7.30pm) and Slough Jets on Sunday (5.30pm).

Dogs hope to replicate their last two home wins against Peterborough and Telford. Peterborough make a quick return and will be determined to reverse their 4-1 defeat.

After some well fought games recently Steeldogs Player coach Andre Payette said: “The second half of the season is always the toughest and with Steeldogs continuing to punch above their weight, it will be all the harder for us.

“There are no easy games in this league and slipping up over a weekend can cost places in the table, especially as so many games are going to overtime with lower placed teams picking up at least a point a game.

“We have to continue to work hard and concentrate for the full 60 minutes, but I know my players will give their best.”

Steeldogs are offering some special discounted tickets for this weekend. If fans buy tickets for both games on Saturday, the prices are reduced.

For both games, tickets are priced at: Adult £15, Concessions £10.00, Child £5.00 (U 8’s Free) and Family £36.00.

Single game prices: Adult £9, Concessions £6.50, Child £3.50 (U8s Free) and Family £20. For more details visit:
