IN THESE days of multi-skilling, it’s important to have a player or two who can fulfil several roles.
Step forward Jim Jorgensen and Shawn Limpright. They may be new to Sheffield Steelers’ line up but they will be showing their versatility in tonight’s League opener against Cardiff (Arena 7pm).
Coach Ryan Finnerty says: “They are good two-way players. Jim is one of the smoothest skaters I’ve seen in a long time.
“He’s a very offensive minded defencemen and useful on the Power Play. He has a long stick and uses it to his advantage all over the ice.
“Limper is good down low and in the corners and strong on the puck. He has a good balance of offensive and defensive assets and will get better and better.”
