SHEFFIELD Steelers coach Ryan Finnerty and Hull counterpart Sylvain Cloutier will take charge of an Import Select side as part of Great Britain’s preparations for the Olympic final qualifiers.
Tony Hand’s GB will play the side - made up of players from the Elite League and the English Premier League - at iceSheffield on February 5.
GB will travel to Latvia the next day ahead of a four-team tournament where they will face the hosts, France and Kazakhstan.
Finnerty already has some advice from Steelers d-man Chris Frank, who tweeted: “The import team should be highly skilled players, not grinders like me. That will help get GB ready.”
