Sheffield Steelers d-man Cullen Eddy believes rivals Braehead Clan will continue to use rough-stuff as they target the Elite League title.
His team-mate of the last two years at Adirondack Phantoms in the AHL, Zack Fitzgerald, pummelled Danny Bois on his debut in Glasgow, last weekend.
“I didn’t think it was right” he said.
“Braehead is full of a lot of guys like that, they play a high intensity game and they run around and that’s how they are going to try and win the League this year, but right now we are up 2-1 on them.”
Steelers play at Coventry on Saturday before going to Belfast on Sunday.
* The December 6 Steelers v Nottingham Panthers game will be the 100th match between these two rivals to be played at Sheffield Arena.
In the 99 games played to date the Steelers hold the winning hand with 66 wins, 28 losses and 5 draws.
The first league game between Steelers and Panthers played in Sheffield was on Boxing Day 1993, the Steelers won 6-5.
The first Elite league game was on the 2nd November 2003 and resulted in a 4-2 loss.
