Sheffield Steeldogs go into tomorrow’s game with Guildford Flames, the team immediately above them, filled with confidence.

Andre Payette’s team won both weekend games, Swindon 5-2 away and Peterborough 6-2 at home. After that Dogs face a home double-header next weekend against Telford and Billingham.

Jeff Legue, returning from injury: “It was good to be back on the ice, I’m back in full time, playing regular shifts.

“In Swindon we played a really good game defensively, we got a few good chances and we capitalised on them. Dalibor Sedlar (goaltender) has been unreal for us, like tonight he had two breakaways and he stopped them both. When he’s called upon, he answers”.

Sedlar added: “We played well in both games over the weekend. We scored a lot of goals, we didn’t give up a lot of penalties and this was the key to how we won.”

And Ben Morgan commented: “The boys were spot on over the weekend, we have to start building on this now. It was good to get not just a win, but a convincing win at home”.
