When Sheffield Steelers' fan Amy Usher passed away, the whole ice hockey club was plunged into mourning.

The bubbly 22-year-old Wath woman died from a rare form of cancer in March, liposarcoma, after a brave and noble battle against the disease.

At Steelers, she is gone, but not forgotten.

And members of the press corps have made sure of that.

They have re-named their press area within Sheffield Arena as the "Amy Usher Media Room" as a tribute to Amy, and also her family, including her sister Beth.

A picture of Amy now adorns the wall inside the press facility for every Steelers' home match.

Former forensic psychology student Amy, of Willow Road, died at Weston Park Hospital, Sheffield, having being diagnosed in February 2013.

Her name was written in the Arena ice by club management and sung by fans across the Elite League.

Now her memory will continue to be cherished in the Sheffield media room.
