Out of the Shadows and into the title limelight!
Sheffield Shadows are enjoying their newly-earned title as English Ice Hockey Women's Premier league champions.
It's the first time the Shadows have won the Premier League since promotion from Division One in 2002, after narrowly missing out to Slough last year on goal difference.
Captain Kelly Simpson said: "It's been a great team performance. It's well-deserved and a fantastic achievement."
The next challenge for the Shadows is to defend the Play-off title won last year at the Bill Britton Memorial Cup which will take place at Ice Sheffield on May 23 and 24.
This tournament will showcase the best of women's ice hockey with the top four teams in the league playing each other.
As Premier League winners, the Shadows will now play in the European Cup in October.
Team coach Simon Manning said: "We have a lot of skill and, with 11 out of 17 players having played for Great Britain, we know we have a strong team and a great chance."
