New coach?
SHEFFIELD STEELERS owner Bob Phillips is pressing on with plans for the new season - even though some players may not want to play for him.
Hopes had been raised that Phillips was on the verge of selling the club after undertaking to do so, recently. On Page 36 of today's Star, one of his top stars admits he and others may not return unless stability returns to the club.
But Phillips has issued a bullish message on the club's Facebook page, talking of a "new title sponsor, new coach, new signings and new website all confirmed for this week." It is not known whether his plan includes ex player Neil Abel, who is prepared to be bench coach, whoever is in charge.
