NEW Steelers winger Mike Ramsay knows he faces a lot of challenges in his first season in the Elite League - and one of them is keeping pace with his own centreman Jeff Legue.
Ramsay has shown an eye for goal in early games for Sheffield. The 26-year-old Canadian says: “Leggie is such a good skater and that creates chances, I just have to work hard and keep up with him and then find spaces and holes. He has incredible vision and sees the ice so well. That means you are confident that if you can find space he will find you and from that goals will come. A lot is expected from us but I feel we have the chemistry to make the line work.”
Ramsay enjoyed the opening win at Belfast last Saturday. “It was nice for Matt Stephenson to get the first and for Steve Birnstill and myself to score in the shoot out. As new guys it’s nice to feel you’re contributing.”
