Rotherham’s poor away record continues to get worse with last night’s defeat by the Championship’s bottom club.
The Titans’ narrow defeat was their third successive loss in a week and is a set-back to their hopes of reaching the promotion play-offs by finishing in the top eight of the Championship.
Rotherham left the West Midlands with a losing bonus point only after their chances of winning had been boosted by a half time lead of 10-3.
But in the second half, Bees roared back to score three tries on 45, 62 and 65 minutes.
Earlier, Rotherham had been the better side and scored a fine try by the pack who drove over prop Colin Quigley. However, the Titans fell away alarmingly as Bees moved ahead by 20-10.
Nevertheless, they finished powerfully as fly half Juan Pablo Socino scored a try, Roth’s second on 78 minutes, and then two minutes later, flanker Dan Baines crashed through for the third, cutting the gap to 25-22.
After Socino’s conversion, Bees led by one point and they held on for the win.
