Sheffield Steelers can win the Play Offs if they follow the model professionalism of Dustin Kohn, according to team-mate Geoff Woolhouse.
Woolhouse, the goaltender whose season has been ruined by injury, has had plenty of time to admire the Canadian defenceman.
“If I had to pick one player as a Play Off sort of guy it would be Kohner” he said.
“He is not flash, but he gets the job done and that’s what you want at this time of the season.
“He is always consistent. And in games that are cagey affairs and you have to grind out a win you need people who play simple and don’t make mistakes. I’d rather see the whole team operating at 90 per cent all the time than just three of them playing at 100 per cent. And Kohner always seems to operate at the high end - whether its helping the forwards on the transition with a quick pass or protecting his own net.”
Steelers play Coventry and Hull this weekend.
