JEFF Legue won’t be taking it easy next season, despite the arrival of reinforcements.

Sheffield Steelers have been signing some explosive forward talent this Summer, to take the weight off their talisman.

But Legue says of the expectations that fall on him: “I’ve never considered it a heavy bag to carry and that I was expected to deliver the majority of the offence.

“I won’t take my foot off the gas this year just because there are some more offensive guys on the team like Cory Pecker and Colin Shields.

“Special teams are important - we’ll have a power-play with many options.

“Shields can play the point or the side on the half boards, I imagine Pecker can play anywhere and Rod Sarich is the league’s best quarter back and I haven’t even mentioned James Jorgensen, Tylor Michel or Ash Tait.

“Ryan wants us quick, more offensive and in-your-face.

“In Michel we have a fore checkers who will create turn overs. We’ll turn defence into attack in the blink of an eye.”
