SHEFFIELD Steeldogs hope to deepen Telford Tigers misery tomorrow.

The Shropshire side has lost all their four games so far this season and are having to spend the first two months on the road while refurbishment to their rink is complete.

Dogs take them on at iceSheffield followed by a long road trip to Surrey on Sunday to take on second placed Guildford Flames in a testing game against last season’s League and Cup Champions.

Coach Andre Payette said: “Saturday is a massive game for us as we have lost our last two home games and we need to get back on track against a tough Telford team.

“Telford are a much improved side this year and I expect them to throw at us all we can handle. With Declan Ryan as one of the best young goaltenders in the league and an old veteran coach in Tom Watkins, they will be looking for a victory.

“All I ask is that the team works hard and gives everything they have on the night, win or lose.”
