STEELDOGS conceded 13 goals in two hellish games - and coach Andre Payette says it must never happen again.
Sheffield were shut out 0-5 at home by Slough Jets last Saturday and then hammered 8-1 at Bracknell Bees a day later.
Dogs’ first-choice goalie Dmitri Zimozdra was substituted by young back-up Brad Day on both nights.
The side has been hit by a virus, but Payette is not seeking excuses.
“It was a really tough weekend for us” he said.
“I am very disappointed with the results and they are unacceptable for our team. We need to have a really hard week of practice and get ready for our two games next weekend.
“Rest assured, this weekend’s results will never happen again. We will see what our team is made of in the coming week.”
Man of the Andrew Hirst’s goal was the only positive note.
Next weekend’s games are away in Milton Keynes on Saturday and at home to Guildford Flames on Sunday.
