Sheffield Steelers showed off their improved form at an overwhelmed Dundee Stars tonight.
The side went looking for third straight win under Gerad Adams’ command at a rink which is notoriously difficult to get anything out of.
Sheffield had lost in the league at the venue back in September.
But things have changed a lot since the season has evolved and Sheffield have won five out of their last six games after overcoming a previous, wretched spell.
Tonight, Steve Goertzen (concussion) was still off the roster.
It was a relatively eventless first period, with neither side scoring or troubling the referee.
But Tim Spencer put the visitors ahead on 28 minutes.
And a Power Play second credited eventually to Rob Dowd put Adams’ men in cruise control.
Nate DiCasmirro got Sheffield’s third of the night at 43;04.
The dominance was underlined at 56;46 when Dowd made it 4-0.
Man of the match: shut out goalie Frabnk Doyle.
