As is typical of this time of year, Luca Cumani has his string in startling form and he can take Yarmouth’s feature race with Kinshasa.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance Handicap cut up badly at the overnight declaration stage and despite £20,000 being on offer for the Class Two handicap, only five will go to post.

Sir Michael Stoute’s Alex Vino is likely to be a warm order and looks a typical improver from the yard.

However, he was all out to win last time out and has another 5lb rise to overcome, and while the step up in trip will suit, the handicapper might be getting close.

Ed Dunlop’s Trip To Paris will be suited by this easier task after running in two hot races at Ascot lately but he is still 5lb higher than when last winning and has struggled off similar marks to this.

Cumani’s Pivotal colt ran in two hot maidens in April and May before winning at Kempton and Salisbury.

Last time out he was well beaten by the classy Battersea, who went on to win the last race Trip To Paris ran in.

It appears he picked up a minor problem or Cumani just wanted to freshen him up as he has not run since July, as he had had five relatively quick runs, and while his rivals have been busy, looking for fresh horses at this time of year can be profitable.

Chris Wall’s veteran sprinter Royal Rock appears to have been found a good opportunity in the At The Races Conditions Stakes.

Of the six runners none can profess to be in great form but Royal Rock’s run last time out is the best recent form on offer.

He chased home Justineo at Doncaster and while he always used to want cut in the ground, that was on good to firm so he proved he can operate on a faster surface.

Rex Imperator appears to be on a downward curve while Clear Spring only ran in the Portland on Saturday and may find this coming too soon.

John Gosden’s Exceedingly has run in three top-notch maiden to date so far in her career and looks to face her easiest task in the second division of the British Stallion Studs/Greene King EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.
