Doncaster’s bet365 raceday is the centre stage of the flat racing tomorrow, with seven competitive races to entertain the crowd before live music after racing by Stereophonics tribute band, Stereotonics, writes Mark Ormondroyd,

Jack Dexter makes a quick return to Town Moor after winning a Listed event rather cosily last time out, and reports are that if he runs a competitive race within the bet365 Handicap then he shall be heading to Royal Ascot in June, with a possibility of taking on Australian super mare, Black Caviar.

Richard Fahey has started the new flat campaign in super form and horses representing the Musley Bank team must be respected and expected to run well throughout the day. Same can be said for the John Quinn and Michael Dods yards who have started the season with a bang, whilst

Stillington based Ruth Carr is just starting to get her team into top gear.

A big run will be expected of Gabrial in the 2.20 for Richard Fahey, whilst it would be no surprise to see Spinatrix run well again 14 days after his reappearance in the 3.30 with young Connor Beasley aboard once again.

Continuing with the fourth race of the day, which is a very competitive handicap, King of Jazz will certainly be close up at the finish.

King of Jazz is becoming a specialist at Town Moor having never been out of the top three on all his previous visits to the track.

Rugby league’s Salford City Reds owner Dr Marwan Koukash could be in the winner’s enclosure in consecutive races with Gabrial expected to run well in the second, along with the Luca Cumani trained Franciscan in the 2.55.

Elsewhere on the card, the penultimate race is for three-year-olds over the flying five furlongs and Robot Boy looks the likeliest winner for Qatar Racing Limited, although the happily named Flirtinaskirt could push the colt all the way. The final race of the day before the music takes centre stage is a low key handicap and providing the Brian Ellison trained Al Freej can replicate his recent All-Weather form back on Turf, then there is no reason as to why he won’t go close in the finale.

Bet365 Handicap selections: 1 – King Of Jazz, 2 – Jack Dexter, 3 - Spinatrix.
