Flash City can get the show on the road at Doncaster by winning the We-Fit! Worksop’s Insulated Conservatory Roofing Systems Handicap.

The eight-year-old’s run-to-win ratio is hardly too inspiring, but he has been in good nick this summer and deserves close scrutiny in an eminently winnable encounter.

Flash City turned in a typically stout effort over five furlongs at Musselburgh a week and a half ago, but he had no response to the upwardly-mobile Fumbo Jumbo.

Be that as it may, Ruth Carr’s inmate had the rest of the field mastered that day, while the form looks pretty good as the third horse home, Seamster, has since won at Catterick and renews rivalry off a higher mark.

A proven operator on variants of ground, Flash City remains 3lb lower than when he last won just over a year ago at Hamilton and the stable enjoyed a nice double at Ayr on Monday.

Prize Money can cash in at Newmarket by winning the Bahrain Trophy on the opening day of the July Meeting.

The three-year-old son of Authorized has only won once in four starts, but he has not done a great deal wrong and should be up to this challenge.

Godolphin’s colt, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, must prove his stamina over a mile and five furlongs, but everything he has done to date suggests he will stay.

No more was that apparent than at Royal Ascot, when he finished second to Hawkbill in the mile-and-a-quarter Tercentenary Stakes.

Mehmas can deliver in the Arqana July Stakes. Richard Hannon’s flashy youngster excelled back over six furlongs in the Coventry Stakes at the Royal meeting when he whizzed home to take second place behind Aidan O’Brien’s very well-regarded Caravaggio - with the third-placed Psychedelic Funk never nearer.
