Sheffield FC Ladies received further acclaim for their success in winning the 2014 FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division title and League Cup when they swept the board in all the categories they had received nominations for at the FA Women’s Awards.

They were named FAWPL club of the year, with manager of the year and players’ player going to Sheffield’s Helen Mitchell and Jodie Michalska, who also collected her award as the Northern Division’s top scorer for the sixth time in eight years.

The awards reflect Sheffield’s fine 2013-14 season which saw them reach the peak of the women’s winter season, a remarkable climb from their early days at the the lowest level just 10 years earlier.
