NEW world number one Lee Westwood can’t wait for the Ballantine’s Championship in Korea.

The Worksop golfer, who celebrated his 38th birthday on Sunday with victory in the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta to reclaim top spot on the golf rankings, is the star attraction in a stellar field teeing it up on Thursday at Blackstone Golf Club near Seoul.

Westwood, who previously held the No.1 ranking from November 1 last year until February 28, will compete against three-time major winner Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Ian Poulter and Miguel Angel Jimenez in Korea.

“I’m delighted to be coming and very much looking forward to the tournament and hopefully I’ll give the galleries plenty to cheer about in the coming days,” he said.
