Sheffield golfer Matt Fitzpatrick carded a one-over 72 in his first tournament round as a professional in the Irish Open.
Fitzpatrick, who was coming off the back of an impressive display in his final amateur showing at the US Open last weekend, bogied the second and seventh but recovered in the back nine and got birdies in the 11th and 16th holes.
There was another bogey on the par-three 17th however, which in the end knocked him over par for the day.
Two double bogies, two bogies and four birdies summed up a rollercoaster of a day for Danny Willett who finished the opening round on a two over par 73.
Mikko Ilonen is the man to chase after the first round, the Finn finishing seven-under.
