Sheffield Wednesday fought back after going two goals down but were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline at Bury tonight.

They were in trouble with the match just seven minutes old.

Bury striker Ryan Lowe nodded in the opener from inside the box.

Five minutes before half time, the Owls were in deeper trouble; the Greater Manchester side getting a second from French midfielder Damien Mozika.

With Chris O’Grady and Rob Jones having to come off in the first half, it must have been a challenging team talk at the interval for Gary Megson.

Two minutes into the second Chris Sedgwick struck from outside the box, the ball flashing into the top right corner of the goal. David Prutton had been influential in the build up.

Owls fans had turned out in good numbers for the game, but Owls could not find an equaliser.
