WHAT today’s papers are saying

THE MAIL ON SUNDAY: Sir Alex Ferguson has called for Luis Suarez to be booted out of English football after the striker refused to shake hands with his race victim, Patrice Evra, before yesterday’s game of shame between Manchester United and Liverpool. Also: Harry Redknapp will receive a formal approach to take over as England manager from the Football Association within the next few days. But he will tell the FA that he must see out the season with Tottenham.

THE PEOPLE: Sir Alex Ferguson claimed Luis Suarez should never again play for Liverpool after the Uruguay striker snubbed Patrice Evra’s handshake at Old Trafford. Also: FA chiefs are panicking that they simply cannot afford the £30million cost of appointing their number one target Harry Redknapp as England boss. Also: Carlos Tevez is heading back to Manchester on Tuesday - and a sensational return to City’s title charge.

SUNDAY MIRROR: Luis Suarez was branded “a disgrace” for snubbing Patrice Evra’s handshake yesterday. Also: Harry Redknapp will lead England into the Euro 2012 finals this summer. Also: Jurgen Klinsmann wants to succeed Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.

SUNDAY EXPRESS: England chairman David Bernstein insists the FA will spend whatever it takes to get the right man to succeed Fabio Capello. Also: Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson labelled Luis Suarez “a disgrace” and called on Liverpool to kick him out of the club after yesterday’s red-hot confrontation.

DAILY STAR SUNDAY: Sir Alex Ferguson yesterday launched a sensational attack on Luis Suarez, blasting: “He is a disgrace to Liverpool and shouldn’t be allowed to play for them again.” Also: Spurs could demand £15million from the FA if Harry Redknapp is appointed as England manager.

THE SUNDAY TELEGRAPH: Sir Alex Ferguson branded Luis Suarez a “disgrace to Liverpool” and urged the Anfield club to “get rid” of the Uruguayan after he refused to shake Patrice Evra’s hand before Manchester United’s 2-1 victory yesterday. Also: After a momentous week in which a five-year cloud of suspicion was finally dispersed, Harry Redknapp has another problem looming on the horizon - choosing between Tottenham and England.

THE SUNDAY TIMES: Roberto Mancini is making strenuous attempts to patch up Manchester City’s row with Carlos Tevez. Also: Sir Alex Ferguson described Luis Suarez as a disgrace and said Liverpool should get rid of him after the player refused to shake Patrice Evra’s hand before Manchester United’s bad-tempered 2-1 win.

THE INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY: Manchester United’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, said last night that Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was “a disgrace” and should never play for the club again after his refusal to shake Patrice Evra’s hand before yesterday’s game. Also: A year ago Chris Ashton scored four tries against Italy in a 59-13 Twickenham victory. He barely got four passes yesterday, as the Azzurri threw away the opportunity to register a first win over England.

THE OBSERVER: Sir Alex Ferguson branded Luis Suarez “a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club” and said he should never be allowed to play for them again after a toxic 2-1 win for Manchester United that began with the Uruguayan refusing to shake hands with Patrice Evra, the player he racially abused in October. Also: The deadline for applications to become the England head coach falls on Wednesday but Stuart Lancaster, who is doing the job on a temporary basis, does not believe his winning start has given him an advantage over his rivals.

Why do we have to have players shaking hands before the match any how.Quite clearly some players dont like each other even if they play in the same team.Even if they had shook hands clearly they dont mean it ,so why bother.I for one wouldnt want to shake the hand of some players with criminal records such as lee hughes.

So Because Suarez doesn't shake hands he should be kicked out of football? Ok, lets add Rio Ferdinand, John Terry and Wayne Bridge to the list...... I wouldn't shake the hand of someone I don't respect. Evra has been guilty of "pulling" the race card on 2 previous cases, both thrown out. No smoke without fire, who's the racist, Suarez or Evra.

S2mancunian says: "I would have him down on the floor in no time, kicking lumps out of him" - How refreshing we have someone on this theme with such inspiring clarity of thought.

This row between Mancini & Tevez has gone on long enough! It has to end now! City can win title if Tevez returns to First Team Action!

What a great example manchester and liverpool are setting. They are the 2 most successful clubs in British football with no doubt further success to come. They are looked up by the youth of this country and we should look to them to set a example to our youth of how to behave. So what do they do behave like 5 year old brats who could do with there backsides smaking. The FA should ban those who don't shake hands until they publically do shake hands. Ferguson should keep his own house in order and not tell his rivals who they should sellbuy. Oh and as for smaking 5 year old I forgot we are are not allowed to discipline the youth of today , in this PC country of ours. What a shambles.

Suarez is a little pr*ck but anyone notice when Ferrdinand went down injured clattered by his own team mate how he was trying to throw the elbow into Suarez's head ???? Suarez should have shook his hand and that might have been the end of it but, what Evra did at the end was also bringing the game into disrepute...Kick them both out of football, you would never see such behaviour back in the old days...These overpaid prima donna tw*ts dont have a clue about what real football is about

When will the F.A ,take the clubs , to order ,,some of the footballers are a disgrace and a poor image to the growing children who look up to them as gods, They see fighting swearing and show no respect for referees What a example to our growing children. Clubs must be made to bring there players to order and be fined if they seem not to be controlling there players by setting a example to our growing population Fining by money does not work, its losing points that will make clubs and players come to order

I agree with SAF calling for racist b*stard Luis Suarez to be booted out of Prem! I have lost respect for Luis Suarez, Loserpool and Anton Ferdinand! If he was racist towards me, I would have him down on the floor in no time, kicking lumps out of him!

Feet like lightning. There is far too much concern about racism and other behaviour far worse goes ignored. Racism in football in this day and age is very low, compared to other hate. I am still not sure that Suarez was guilty and his comments weren't taken out of context. The FA seem a very incongruent organisation and don't always get it right. At the end of the day Suarez was coloured himself. Then again I don't think John Terry should have ever gone to the world cup and should certainly never have been the England captain again.

A crime is a crime, whether its Suarez or the fan on the terraces. Suarez showed contempt for his own club and the sport by refusing to shake the hand of a man he had previously slighted because of his colour. Suarez is in the public limelight while the average fan is not so he has an added responsibility not to enflame an already volatile situation. The player should be ashamed of himself but won't be. He'll be picking up his £100k a week pay happy that he got a flukey goal. He is everything that is wrong with football.

There are far worse things being said on football terraces than so called racial hatred, but race hate seems to be the only thing anybody cares about, when it is such a small part of the hate. The crime is being blown completely out of proportion.
