Sheffield FC kick-off the new campaign at home against Sutton Coldfield Town tomorrow.

Sheffield won the corresponding fixture at Dronfield 2-1 last season with goals from Brian Cusworth and Andy Gascoigne but lost the reverse fixture 4-2 in early March.

In the Premier Division, Stocksbridge Park Steels have what looks a very tough away trip to Marine.

Steels don’t have the best of record against the Merseyside outfit that completed the double over Gary Marrow’s men last term winning 5-4 at the Arriva Stadium last September then 3-1 at Bracken Moor in early January.

Summer arrivals midfielder Matt Telling, winger Chris Adam along with defenders Anthony Lloyd and Chris Glarvey should all start. But Marrow could be without another newcomer Dominic Riordan after the central defender picked up an injury in the friendly against Sheffield United.

After a narrow escape from relegation on the final day of last season, Frickley Athletic have shown their determination to avoid a repeat of last terms struggles.

Manager Peter Rinkcavage has been busy over the summer revamping the Blues squad with eight new arrivals at the Tech5 Stadium.

Rinckavage has raided his two of his former clubs to land Alex Callery, Ben Leonard and Stuart Ludlam from Stocksbridge along with central defender Michael Simpkins from Worksop Town being amongst the newcomers.

Frickley will be looking to start with a win when they take on Burscough at home. The visitors finished in the bottom four last term one point behind Frickley but escaped relegation due to the knock on effect from clubs being booted out of leagues elsewhere.

Matlock Town boss Mark Atkins has virtually full squad to select a starting eleven from for the trip to Ashton United with the exception of the suspended Kris Bowler. The Gladiators lost prolific scorer Ross Hannah over the summer after the forward signed for League Two Bradford City. Atkins has filled the void by signing striker Ian Holmes from Glapwell.

Buxton will look to put behind them the disappointment of missing out on the play-offs on the final day of last season when they take on Northwich Victoria at the Silverlands.
