Sheffield Wednesday and Chesterfield are to play each other in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The draw for the second round paired the League One and League two neighbours together on Saturday morning.

Spireites boss and Owls old boy John Sheridan gave a low-key response at the prospect of a return to Hillsborough.

The man who played for Owls close on 250 times and scored a Wembley winner to earn legendary status in S6, said: "It's a good game for us, playing a team that's in a higher division. I

"t'll be a good test, they're one of the best teams in that division. We'll go there, try our best and look to cause them a few problems.

"It's the cup where we've got the best chance of winning. I played there and had the best moments of my career there but I'll be going there as Chesterfield manager, looking for a win, it's a simple as that."

All ties are to be played during the week commencing October 4.

Hartlepool United v Bradford City, Sheffield Wednesday v Chesterfield,Huddersfield Town v Peterborough United. West: Accrington Stanley v Stockport County, Macclesfield Town v Crewe Alexandra, Bury v Shrewsbury Town, Carlisle United v Port Vale.
