UNDER-pressure Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones insists he has the full backing of chairman Milan Mandaric as he looks to turnaround the club’s fortunes, writes Dom Howson.
We want you to tell us - should fans be booing the team?
Wednesday welcome Watford tomorrow to Hillsborough seeking to bounce back from a lacklustre performance at home to Leicester City last weekend where they were booed off by their own fans at the final whistle.
But despite four league defeats on the spin, Jones is refusing to panic and is adamant he has the players at his disposal to rectify their poor form.
Jones said: “Everyone is concerned (by our league position) but these players are good enough to get out of it.
“I have no qualms with any unhappy fans because no one likes losing games.”
Of his relationship with Mandaric, he said: “I speak with Milan every day and he is very supportive. He is as disappointed as I am.”
He quipped: “I am out with the Chairman tonight. I will know if I don’t have his support if I have to pay the bill!”
