The Owls have had the kick off times of two upcoming Yorkshire derbies moved for TV coverage.

The October 4 trip to Leeds United and the November 22 visit to Huddersfield Town will now both kick off at 12.15pm after the games were selected to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Former Wednesday fan favourite Reda Johnson has been named captain of new club Coventy City.

Johnson joined the Sky Blues last week after failing to be offered a new contract by the Owls.

Coventry boss Steven Pressley said: “There were obviously a number of candidates within the squad but I felt Reda had the necessary qualities to lead the side.

“He has great experience in Championship football and also has experienced promotion from this division.

“He brings stature, strength and mentality to the group and I’m sure he will prove to be a popular figure with our supporters.”

Ex-Owls loanee Danny Pugh has also joined Coventry, signing a one year deal with the option of a further year.

Pugh spent the second half of the 2012/13 season at Hillsborough on loan from Leeds United, making 16 appearances.
