The South Wales, South West, Sheffield Wednesday Supporters group is hoping the launch of a new website will bring together more of the club’s fans from that part of Britain.
The group was set up in January 2011 by George Eustice after years of travelling to Wednesday home and away games alone.
He said he’s hoping that by providing a way for Wednesdayites to communicate they’ll be able to make it easier to get to matches: “The launch of the website is going to bring together members from the Facebook group and Twitter but also be accessible for fellow Owls who aren’t connected via social networking.
“I estimate at the moment I know of around 150 Owls based in South Wales and the South West.
With a little bit of marketing and getting our name out there we can help to connect every Sheffield Wednesday supporter based in our local districts to save money in fuel and save each other’s sanity by sharing lifts to games via buses and cars.”
