Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town could not be separated in the first leg of their all-Yorkshire play-off semi-final.
It was a cagey, boring spectacle, but the Owls are in the driving seat heading into the second leg at Hillsborough on Wednesday night.
Sunday’s stalemate means Wednesday are unbeaten in eight matches against their local rivals, dating back to November 2013.
Here are how the last five meetings between the two Yorkshire clubs have unfolded at S6:
January 14, 2017
Sheff Wed 2-0 Huddersfield Town
Second half goals from Ross Wallace and Fernando Forestieri earned Wednesday all three points. Wallace scored a spectacular long range effort to open his account for the campaign. To compound Huddersfield’s woes, Jack Payne was also sent off.
November 21, 2015
Sheff Wed 3-1 Huddersfield Town
Wednesday battled back from a goal down to ensure David Wagner’s first match in charge of Huddersfield ended in defeat. Substitute Lucas Joao (2) and Kieran Lee registered to cancel out Sean Scannell’s opener, with Forestieri claiming three assists.
April 4, 2015
Sheff Wed 1-1 Huddersfield Town
A late flurry from both sides in an otherwise uninspiring Yorkshire derby meant the points were shared on this occasion. Ishmael Miller equalised in the 89th minute after Sergiu Bus put the Owls ahead three minutes earlier with his only goal for the club.
November 23, 2013
Sheff Wed 1-2 Huddersfield Town
Goals from Martin Paterson and Adam Clayton left Wednesday in the relegation zone with just one win in 15 matches. Connor Wickham, on loan from Sunderland, pulled one back in added on time but it was too little, too late.
September 19, 2012
Sheff Wed 1-3 Huddersfield Town
A fiery affair saw both sides finish the match with 10 men after Joel Lynch and Joe Mattock saw red. Huddersfield raced into a two-goal lead thanks to strikes by Oliver Norwood and Lee Novak. Reda Johnson reduced the deficit, but Adam Clayton’s 71st minute penalty put the contest out of Wednesday’s reach.
