Derby County have confirmed the signing of Sheffield Wednesday target Nick Blackman.
The striker has agreed a three-year deal with the Rams, leaving Reading for whom he has scored 13 times this season.
Blackman had been on Wednesday's radar as the Owls bid to strengthen the the squad ahead of a promotion push in the second half of the season.
As stated in The Star today, a central defender, a defensive midfielder and a versatile attacker are the positions that Wednesday are hoping to fill.
Derby Head Coach Paul Clement told the club's official website: "Nick Blackman has been in excellent form for Reading this season so we are delighted to bring one of the Championship’s leading goalscorers to the club. There has been a lot of interest in him so we’re naturally happy that he has chosen to join us. We’ve got a number of talented players in the attacking areas of our squad and Nick only enhances that."
Blackman is a former Sheffield United loanee, scoring 14 goals in 33 appreances for the Blades in the 2012/13 season.
