George Hirst was part of the England side that opened up their Toulon Tournament campaign with a 1-0 win over Angola.

The Sheffield Wednesday starlet came on as a second half substitute at the Stade de Lattre in Aubagne, France, replacing England's matchwinner Ike Ugbo.

Chelsea forward Ugbo headed in the only goal of the game just after half time.

Hirst played the final 15 minutes but had no further opportunities to add to the Young Lions' tally and will now be hoping to get a further opportunity to shine when England play their next game against Thursday.

England, holders of the competition, top the group after Cuba and Japan drew 1-1. Neil Dewsnip's side take on Japan on Sunday.
