Jose Semedo wants to finish his career at Sheffield Wednesday and has never thought of leaving.
The midfielder’s start against Burnley was his first in the League in nine months - a big change after he was virtually an automatic choice,
But the 28-year-old told The Star: “I hope to carry on playing in the team; if not then I will keep working hard and help the club as much as I can.
“Never for a minute did I think of leaving: I want to be here until I finish.
“If the gaffer tells me he does not want me and I must go, then I have no choice. Unless something like that happens, I want to stay here and do the best I can for this club.”
Semedo added: “Only two players in the world you cannot sub, and they are Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, because they are special; apart from them, anything can happen to anyone in football.”
Semedo was plunged into Saturday’s game after Giles Coke pulled out in the morning because of illness.
