WEDNESDAY manager Dave Jones hopes that the club’s reputation can help him bring in one more player during the loan transfer window.
With Premier League clubs now having set their 25-man squads some of those on the fringes of first-team action may be tempted to by the offer of regular Championship football, starting at Brighton on Friday evening.
And with the Owls being linked to the likes of Everton’s 18-year-old midfielder Ross Barkley, Jones said the club could be an attractive proposition.
“I’d like to think so,” he told The Star. “We’re close to our quota (of loan players) already but we have room for one more.
“We’ll have to see what happens over the next few days. We’ve not got a big squad, but we’ve got a good squad.”
