All strikers rely on good service - and Atdhe Nuhiu is no different.
Many fans got their first glimpse of the 6ft 6in centre-forward in Sheffield Wednesday’s defeat to Burnley at Hillsborough last weekend. There were flashes of his aerial prowess, particularly in the second period when the Owls delivered several teasing crosses into the penalty area.
On another afternoon, Nuhiu could have bagged himself a couple of goals.
Blessed with decent control for a big man, the 23-year-old scored a lovely solo goal on his debut at Queens Park Rangers.
Dave Jones, the Owls manager, is happy with Nuhiu’s form but insists the former Rapid Vienna player remains short of match sharpness.
Liam Palmer, playing as a makeshift right-back in the absence of Lewis Buxton and Kieran Lee, recently said: “Atdhe is going to be very important for us. He is a handful and going to cause defences in the division problems with his size.
“He is someone we have got to look to use and get crosses into the box to him.”
