SHEFFIELD Wednesday are settling down but are far from settled says loan star Danny Pugh.
The Owls are unbeaten in the three-matches since 30-year-old Pugh arrived on loan from Championship rivals Leeds United late last month.
And while the left back says confidence was already high in the Hillsborough dressing room when he first stepped into the club he says there can be no complacency in performances even after just one defeat in ten Championship matches.
He told The Star: “The lads were confident when I got here because of results. I think I’ve joined at a good time but we’re going to have to keep it going.
“We’ve dragged teams back into it but the results of clubs below us has kept it really tight.”
Wednesday fought back from 2-0 down against Derby County on Saturday for the second time this season. Although pleased to pick up a point, Pugh, who is with the club until the end of the season, says it is a habit that the Owls can’t afford to slip in to.
He said: “They were the better team in the first half. We can’t afford to get two down.
“We were glad to get a point and it was a good effort to get back level, but then again we could have nicked it at the end.”
