Manager Dave Jones is unlikely to add to his Sheffield Wednesday squad until after they return from their pre-season trip to Portugal, The Star understands.
After recruiting Jacques Maghoma and Jeremy Helan this summer, Jones says he is hoping to sign another “three to four players” before the Owls begin their Championship campaign at Queens Park Rangers next month.
The Owls chief plans on having another look at trialists Kamil Zayatte and Markus Grossinger in tomorrow night’s friendly with Hull City before they team back to England on Sunday. Jones felt Zayatte, a defender, who has previously played with Owls captain Anthony Gardner at Hull, and winger Grossinger performed well in the midweek loss to Braga.
One area the Owls are looking to strengthen is up front and Jones has confirmed he has held talks with Swansea City over re-signing Leroy Lita on a permanent basis.
“He’s still on my radar,” said Jones.
