Striker Hallam Hope has returned to Everton after his loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday was today cut short.
The 20-year-old, recruited by the Championship club at the end of August, was due to stay with Stuart Gray’s side until January 1.
But the Owls have decided to let Hope go back to Everton, having played him just four times since capturing the youngster on a temporary basis.
The Manchester-born player, who has yet to make a senior appearance for the Toffees, made one start and three substitute appearances. His only start came in the 3-0 defeat to Watford where he was deployed on the right hand side of midfield and taken off at half-time.
