Regardless of the system he has played in or who he has played alongside with up front, Gary Hooper has scored goals wherever he has gone.

And the Owls striker has definitely produced the goods in 2016.

No player has scored more Championship goals this calendar year than Hooper.

The 28-year-old has found the back of the net 15 times, including his match-winning strike against Queens Park Rangers last weekend.

Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia (14), Brighton and Hove Albion’s Tomer Hemed (13) and Huddersfield Town’s Nahki Wells (12) are Hooper’s closest rivals.

Although he has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot this season, Hooper has netted four goals in 15 appearances.

The former Scunthorpe United, Celtic and Norwich City forward joined Wednesday on a permanent basis last January following a successful loan spell.
