Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal has a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from against Rotherham United on Saturday after confirming goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith has returned to full training.
Academy graduate Wildsmith has been out of action for six weeks after sustaining a back injury at home to Bolton Wanderers.
Sam Hutchinson could also feature, having recovered from a back problem suffered in Friday's controversial goalless draw at Hull City.
Speaking at his press briefing today, Carvalhal said: "Joe Wildsmith has started training now. We have a full squad. It is just Fernando who is out. We are strong. We are with a full squad.
"In December-January, we were missing seven or eight players. We missed a lot of players. We have three games in a week coming up and we guys who can be with good energy to help the team."
Wednesday will have to make one enforced change as Fernando Forestieri is suspended following his red card at the KC Stadium. It was the talismanic striker's second dismissal in as many matches, meaning he must sit-out their clashes against Rotherham and promotion rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
With 12 matches remaining, the Owls occupy the final play-off position but have gone three matches without a win.
