Sheffield Wednesday have appointed two new figures in key business roles at the club.
Chairman Milan Mandaric has brought in Paul Bell and John Redgate – a pair he says are ‘genuine football people.’
Bell has become the Owls’ chief operating officer while Redgate has been appointed finance director.
Mandaric said: “I have always stressed the importance of introducing and working alongside genuine football people at Sheffield Wednesday.
“The additions of both Paul and John will significantly strengthen our off-field operation and I would like to personally welcome them to Hillsborough.
“I wish them every success at our club.”
Bell was most recently director of commercial affairs at Leeds United and grew the club’s hospitality base to its highest level since their time in the Champions League.
Before his five years at Elland Road, Bell was Portsmouth’s commercial director for four years, working alongside Mandaric in his early days.
Redgate joined Portsmouth in 2010 as a financial consultant to assist their exit from administration before being appointed chief financial officer and becoming a board members.
He was also a trustee of the club’s award winning Pompey in the Community arm.
