WEDNESDAY are preparing to launch their new home kit within the next few weeks.

A date has already been fixed for the official unveiling of the new away strip - July 14, at the club’s community day in Hillsborough Park.

The club will make an announcement in due course about the launch of the new home shirts.

Shirt sponsorship is already in place, with the Gilder Group following Westfield Health in renewing backing.

The name Honda will appear on the front of the home kit; Gilder’s have Honda dealerships in Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield. Westfield will be on the front of the away shirts.

Gilder Group chief executive Garry Scotting said: “Following a successful season, we are delighted to continue our sponsorship into what we hope will be another of the same. As the club continue to work closely with the local business community, they are moving in the right direction on and off the pitch.”

Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric said: “I am delighted that Gilder Group and Sheffield Wednesday will continue this proud partnership. Our promotion will significantly enhance the brand awareness of all the club’s sponsors and in particular Gilder Honda.”
